Rapid Response Paramedic (FEMA Support)
About the role
DOCS Health is seeking to build a reliable network of qualified Paramedics to support FEMA by providing essential medical support and assistance during emergencies and disaster response efforts. These are part-time, as-needed positions, but become especially vital in maintaining the health and operational readiness of those responding to national emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to FEMA personnel.
- Assess and prioritize medical needs of patients, ensuring timely and appropriate treatment.
- Maintain accurate medical records and monitor patient conditions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and emergency response teams to coordinate patient care and services.
- Educate individuals and communities on health and safety measures during disaster situations.
- Aid in setting up and managing clinical sites in disaster-affected areas.
Requirements
- Completion of a paramedics training program accredited by the Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Educations.
- National Registry certification as a paramedic preferred.
- CPR / BLS, ACLS.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience as a Paramedic.
- Unrestricted license in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States.
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and work hours.
- Handle high-stress situations and work effectively in challenging and austere environments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and demonstrate a positive and supportive attitude.

Pay
Salary Description: $28-32/hr.
