About the role

DOCS Health is seeking to build a reliable network of qualified Paramedics to support FEMA by providing essential medical support and assistance during emergencies and disaster response efforts. These are part-time, as-needed positions, but when activated, the role becomes especially vital in maintaining the health and operational readiness of those responding to national emergencies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to FEMA personnel.
  • Assess and prioritize medical needs of patients, ensuring timely and appropriate treatment.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and monitor patient conditions.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and emergency response teams to coordinate patient care and services.
  • Educate individuals and communities on health and safety measures during disaster situations.
  • Aid in setting up and managing clinical sites in disaster-affected areas.

Requirements

  • Completion of a paramedics training program accredited by the Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Educations.
  • National Registry certification as a paramedic preferred.
  • CPR / BLS, ACLS.
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent clinical experience as a Paramedic.
  • Unrestricted license in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States.
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and work hours.
  • Handle high-stress situations and work effectively in challenging and austere environments.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and demonstrate a positive and supportive attitude.
