Rangeland Management Specialist

This position is hands-on and boots-on-the-ground—supporting federal public lands and the families who rely on these rangelands for grazing. It’s meaningful work that blends stewardship, partnership, and daily engagement with the landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze vegetation and rangeland health data
  • Support grazing permit operations
  • Collaborate with grazing associations, ranchers, and partners
  • Design and monitor habitat and land improvement projects
  • Explore prairie country using trucks and UTVs in all seasons

  • Watford City, ND
  • Lemmon, SD

Pay

$45,000–$80,000 depending on experience and qualifications
