Range Safety Support
R&K Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (R&K) is a certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with core capabilities in Mission Support, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Exercise/Training, and Defense Healthcare in support of Defense, Intelligence, and Federal Civilian customers. R&K supports Headquarters Air Combat Command (HQ ACC) Airspace, Ranges, and Airfield Operations Division (A3A) by providing technical, logistical, and operational support to ACC airfields, special use airspace, and ranges. The Resources and Budget Division (A3R) provides financial support, fiscal guidance, professional development, civilian manpower, and planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) for the Operations Directorate (A3). The International Affairs Security Cooperation (IAS) supports Foreign Military Sales (FMS), including foreign military participation in United States-hosted exercises.
About the Role
Full-time, permanent position located at Langley AFB, VA. Secret clearance required. Start date upon approval.
Responsibilities
- Support ACC Ranges staff in the development of documentation and implementation of range safety policy and guidance for weapons (live and inert), lasers, training aids, and ground safety IAW applicable Department of Defense (DoD)/Air Force (AF) safety regulations.
- Support ACC Ranges staff with environmental reporting of munitions usage and disposal on ranges.
- Support ACC Ranges staff with executing range munitions and target clearance operations capabilities IAW applicable DoD/AF safety regulations.
- Support ACC Ranges staff in the development of plans, programs, and formal budget reports for future safety requirements.
- Support ACC Ranges staff with range safety policies, briefings, procedures, and support agreements with other MAJCOMs, sister services, allied forces, and civil authorities.
Qualifications
- 3 years of rated operations experience (11, 12, 13B) or previous 17XX Air Weapons Controller/Air Battle Manager, or experience as a 1SO or 3E8 Senior Noncommissioned Officer (SNCO) or GS equivalent.
- 2 years of wing-level or higher staff experience.
- Active Secret security clearance.
