Range Safety Officer

About the role

The Range Safety Officer (RSO) is responsible for the safety of Sunset Hill Shooting Range customers and staff. His/her primary duty is to organize, conduct and supervise safe shooting activities and range operations for all shooters under their supervision.

Responsibilities

• Report to and take direction from the Chief RSO, Assistant Rangemaster and Rangemaster
• Ensure strict adherence to Company Safety Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times
• Monitor all activity on the shooting lanes under their supervision
• Assist customers with appropriate lane and target operation
• Keep work area sanitary and neat
• Maintain productive relationships with established customers
• Attend training as required
• Work as a team player with all staff
• Communicate in a professional and courteous manner with everyone
• Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance at all times

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age to apply
• Experience a plus but not required, as training and certification will be provided

Qualifications and Skills

Some USCCA and NRA certifications are required and will be offered and paid for by the company. Additional USCCA and NRA certifications are also available.

Schedule

Weekends are mandatory.
