Range Assistant II
About the role
The Division of Fish & Wildlife conserves and manages Delaware’s fish and wildlife and their habitats, and provides fishing, hunting, wildlife viewing and boating access on nearly 65,000 acres of public land.
Responsibilities
- Operate, load, and maintain trap and skeet shooting machines
- Ensure range safety policies and procedures
- General grounds maintenance including trash removal, grass cutting, and minor building repairs such as painting
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Knowledge of firearms use, care, and safety
- Knowledge of general grounds maintenance functions and equipment
- Knowledge of basic maintenance repairs
- Possession of a valid driver's license (not suspended, revoked, cancelled or disqualified from driving)

Benefits
- This is a Casual/Seasonal position which is a non-pension eligible position without healthcare and/or other benefits.
Pay
- $15.30/hour
- Salary Plan: FR1
- Pay Grade: FR1
Schedule
- Weekends/Evenings/Holidays Required
