Range Assistant II

About the role

The Division of Fish & Wildlife conserves and manages Delaware’s fish and wildlife and their habitats, and provides fishing, hunting, wildlife viewing and boating access on nearly 65,000 acres of public land.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, load, and maintain trap and skeet shooting machines
  • Ensure range safety policies and procedures
  • General grounds maintenance including trash removal, grass cutting, and minor building repairs such as painting
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Knowledge of firearms use, care, and safety
  • Knowledge of general grounds maintenance functions and equipment
  • Knowledge of basic maintenance repairs
  • Possession of a valid driver's license (not suspended, revoked, cancelled or disqualified from driving)
