Randolph Hiring Event - Machine Operators, Packaging Tech & Formulators

About the role

Operates machinery in a clean environment used in the food safety industry according to Standard Operating Procedures ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the processes. This role follows an onsite model to accommodate business needs while maintaining team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Uses automated equipment to manufacture, assemble, or move parts/kits/products
• Inspects parts/kits/products to ensure accuracy
• May work at different stations to ensure accuracy
• Maintains equipment and facilities
• Responsible for equipment preventative maintenance of specialized and advanced equipment
• Perform tasks according to the appropriate Standard Manufacturing Procedure (SMP) or Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
• Follow International Organization for Standardization (ISO) guidelines in the manufacture of all reagents
• Use good manufacturing procedures (GMP) and good documentation practices (GDP) in the manufacture of all reagents
• Participate in troubleshooting efforts pertaining to product failures
• Participate in product/process improvement of current products or processes
• Maintains the general cleanliness and organization of work areas using lean processes and 5S
• Operation, maintenance, and calibration of basic equipment necessary to perform job functions
• Adheres to any and all safety rules and regulations, including personal protective equipment, proper use of equipment, proper disposal of any and all materials etc.
• Plans and executes necessary preparatory processes for scheduled manufacturing duties in advance
• Participates in the transfer of products from R&D and/or Manufacturability Support to Manufacturing
• Proposes document updates and improvements
• Perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time, while maintaining attention to detail
• Continually maintains and monitors machine to ensure it functions properly
• Aids in Supply Management
• Assist in physical inventories as required
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor and/or manager

Qualifications

High school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum tenure of 1 year in the Machine Operator I position is required to be met before consideration for promotion to the next position level: Machine Operator II.

Formulator

This role follows an onsite model to accommodate business needs while maintaining team collaboration.

Responsibilities include:

• Manufacture products according to approved formulas
• Maintain accurate batch records and all paperwork required for this position
• Operate material handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks and barrel handlers
• Assist with maintaining organization of warehouse including inventory control
• Thoroughly clean manufacturing equipment after each production run
• Check all equipment for maintenance issues and cleanliness before starting a new product
• Gain a good understanding of the equipment needed to mix the product per formulation

Requirements, Education and/or Experience:

• Stamina to work 12 hour shifts 3.5 days per week and overtime as needed on Thursdays and/or Fridays
• Report to work daily and on-time for scheduled workdays and shift times
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Committed to working and communicating in a team environment
• Must communicate effectively with others by speaking, reading, and understanding written English and the ability to write legibly in English
• High school diploma, GED equivalent or applicable experience in a manufacturing environment. Preference will be given to candidates who possess experience working in a food or feed manufacturing facility for a minimum of six months, and experience with blending or packaging equipment

Packaging Technician

This role follows an onsite model to accommodate business needs while maintaining team collaboration.

Responsibilities include:

• Fill and package liquid and dry manufactured products
• Help setup liquid and dry packaging lines to provide production needs
• Label and palletize manufactured products
• Clean production equipment on an as needed basis
• Record data and information as requested by supervisor, including but not limited to time tracking

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma, GED equivalent or applicable experience in a manufacturing environment. Preference will be given to candidates who possess experience working in a food or feed manufacturing facility for a minimum of six months, and experience with blending or packaging equipment
