RAMP Technician - IROC
About the role
This position will monitor equipment at the site using real-time technology to collect and analyze data with the goal of achieving higher equipment availability and lower maintenance costs. This position will also assist in operator education. As a member of the Remote Access Monitoring Process team, this person will assist in the development of advanced diagnostic tools.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze data using various predictive technologies
- Make recommendations to maintenance
- Complete and submit work orders as necessary
- Assist with on-site training for operations and maintenance employees
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- Three (3) or more years of experience working in a mechanical field
- Working knowledge and understanding of basic mechanical principles (hydraulic, pneumatic, fluid mechanical systems)
- Interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient computer skills in a Windows environment (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint)
- Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience with, and knowledge of SAP
- Hands-on maintenance experience with mining of other heavy equipment
- Experience with Caterpillar VIMS, Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET), and Centurion software systems
Skills
Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
Communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
Benefits
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $28.00 - $38.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
