Full-Time Ramp Agent

About the role

The Ramp Agent plays a vital role in ensuring top tier performance in all aspects of baggage handling, exceeding customer expectations while upholding the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Comfortably and continuously lift/move 70 lbs. of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport it between aircraft, airport terminals and air cargo facilities.
• Frequent bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, stacking, squatting and kneeling in small, confined locations.
• Operate motorized equipment.
• Transport (Drive) cargo and baggage between aircraft, airport terminals, and air cargo facilities.
• Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags.
• Ensure safe and secure operations, in accordance with the highest possible standards of health, safety, security, and all government statutory requirements.
• Ensure safe operation and proper handling of passenger baggage, freight, and mail.
• Ensure tasks are performed in accordance with Company and Airline specific procedures and policies.
• Attend the mandatory training imposed by the Company and Airlines as per job role.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess and maintain valid US driver's license.
• Pass all pre-employment testing including a drug screen.
• Able to proficiently read, write and speak English.
• Able to comfortably lift 70lbs repetitively.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.
• Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal.
• Available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Prior loading and unloading of heavy products or equipment (preferred).
• Able to perform basic math calculations.
• Able to work at heights up to forty (40) feet.

Benefits

No medical coverage is offered with this position, but the option to opt-in for additional coverage is available.

Pay

$30.15 per hour with no medical coverage, or $22.50 per hour with medical coverage.

Schedule

Variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
