Responsibilities

  • Lead a ramp team and marshal aircraft in and out of the gate.
  • Supervise a team of agents in ramp service duties.
  • Load, unload, sort, and transfer passenger baggage, airmail, freight, and company material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loaders, or baggage carts.
  • Perform wing walker duties to protect the aircraft wing from equipment during pushback.
  • De-ice aircraft as required.
  • Operate ramp equipment such as bag tugs, belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors, water servicing vehicles, and lavatory servicing vehicles.
  • May be assigned cabin service duties including servicing the aircraft, cleaning lavatories and cabin, restocking supplies, and other related tasks.
  • Immediately report safety and security incidents as well as potential hazards in line with the Unifi Fair and Just Culture Policy.
  • Complete work in a safe and secure manner, following company safety and operational standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill, experience, and capabilities expected for this position.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain credentials required by airport, state, or customs regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of relevant work experience in the aviation or ground handling services industry.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to constantly lift up to 70 lbs or more.
  • Must be able to push, pull, walk, stand, reach above shoulder, stoop, squat, kneel, bend, reach out, and grasp.
  • Frequently climb and crawl.

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Must be able and open to working in outside weather conditions, which may include severe seasonal elements.
