Ramp Supervisor
Role Purpose: The Ramp Supervisor is responsible for supervising the unloading and loading of luggage, freight, and cargo on and off commercial aircraft. This position also involves driving and operating small specialized commercial vehicles.
- Supervise lead agents; allocate ramp agent resources as needed
- Move cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport it between aircraft, airport terminals, air cargo facilities, and other aircraft
- Ensure that ramp personnel adhere to established company safety regulations
- Perform as a mentor to other employees and provide training to new employees
- Interview, hire, train, appraise performance, reward, discipline, address complaints, and resolve problems related to violations of company policy
- Complete shift reports and sign timecards
- Assist in the preparation of performance evaluation forms
- Absorb disciplinary incident and/or termination reports
- Conduct shift briefings to ensure staff is organized and informed
- Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags
- Operate motorized equipment

What We Are Looking For
- Prior Ramp/Airline experience required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Possess valid US driver's license with a clean driving record
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testing
- Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak English
- Comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
- Pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs Seal
- Has the duty to suggest any improvements to working practices, especially those relating to Safety and security
- Must have read and signed the Station Quality Manual, Emergency Response Procedures Manual, and the Station Security Manual
- High school diploma, GED preferred
