About the role
Supervise lead agents and allocate ramp agent resources as needed. Move cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport it between aircraft, airport terminals, air cargo facilities, and other aircraft. Ensure ramp personnel adhere to established company safety regulations. Perform as a mentor to other employees and provide training to new hires.
- Interview, hire, and train employees
- Appraise performance, reward, and discipline employees
- Address complaints and resolve problems related to company policy violations
- Complete shift reports and sign timecards
- Assist in the preparation of performance evaluation forms
- Prepare disciplinary incident and/or termination reports
- Assist in the baggage handling area
- Conduct shift briefings to ensure staff is organized and informed
- Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags
- Operate motorized equipment

- Adhere to provided information, training, and workplace health and safety rules or procedures
- Report any significant deficiency in products, materials, and documents
- Suggest improvements to working practices, especially those relating to safety and security
- Read and sign the Station Quality Manual, Emergency Response Procedures Manual, and the Station Security Manual
The company prohibits the misuse of alcohol and drugs and enforces a Substance Misuse Policy with regular testing.
Requirements
- Prior Ramp/Airline experience required
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Possess a valid US driver's license with a clean driving record
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and all pre-employment testing
- Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak English
- Comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
- Pass FBI background check and obtain US Customs Seal
- High school diploma or GED
