About the role
The Ramp Service Employee (RSE) plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations at airports. Responsibilities include processing baggage, boxes, and cargo, as well as receiving and dispatching aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Process baggage, boxes, and cargo between baggage/cargo areas and aircraft
- Receive and dispatch aircraft
- Maintain high-quality standards of operational safety and customer service
Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Comfortable with computers, mobile devices, and new technologies
- Able to stand, walk, and handle baggage for an eight-hour shift
- Able to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Able to communicate with other departments and flight crews
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with a good driving record
- Eligible to acquire and maintain credentials vital for the position
- Pass a background check
- Pass a pre-placement physical ability test, hearing and vision tests, and drug screen
- Position-specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal Service clearances
- Available during day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Perform a variety of physical activities including bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces, including lifting up to 70lbs
- Obtain required training certifications, perform safety checks, and successfully complete all required job functions, including operating and driving equipment, loading and unloading baggage and cargo, interpreting load sheets, baggage tags, and cargo labels

Pay
$19.64 per hour, with potential for profit sharing.
Schedule
Available during day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
