About the role

To coordinate all station ground operations relating to the operational interface between aircraft loading/unloading activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate station ground operations for aircraft loading and unloading activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• No minimum experience required.
• FAA covered safety sensitive position.
• Subject to regulatory alcohol and drug testing (includes marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine, opioids).

Skills

• Ability to complete basic and/or recurrent training/testing.
• Ability to properly identify and prioritize loading/unloading procedures.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 75 lbs (with appropriate equipment and/or assistance).
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs (with appropriate equipment and/or assistance).
• Ability to operate GSE (ground support equipment).
• Knowledge of FAMIS/FedEx computer systems.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions per FMCSA guidance.
• Ability to drive vehicles not covered under Section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally in a time‑sensitive manner in noisy operations environment.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
