Responsibilities

• Processing baggage between baggage areas in the airport facilities and aircraft, as well as receiving and dispatching aircraft
• Loading and unloading aircraft and carts
• Stacking and unstacking baggage in aircraft
• Completing safety checklists for motorized equipment
• Driving and operating motorized equipment (e.g., conveyor belts)
• Reading and interpreting load sheets and checked baggage tags
• Escorting passengers and special‑needs customers safely and courteously
• Ensuring compliance with SkyWest and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and policies

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Valid, unrestricted, state‑issued driver’s license
• High School Diploma or GED
• Obtain and maintain position‑specific clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, etc.)
• Pass a pre‑placement background check and drug screen
• Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

Physical and Other Requirements

• Lift heavy bags over 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Work outside in all weather conditions
• Attend four days of Basic Station Training
• Flexible schedule, including split shifts that may occur during early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Full‑time position
• Not a Department of Transportation safety‑sensitive position

$14.50 per hour
