Responsibilities

• Process baggage between baggage areas in the airport facilities and aircraft, as well as receiving and dispatching aircraft.
• Load and unload aircraft and carts.
• Stack and unstack baggage in aircraft.
• Complete safety checklists for motorized equipment.
• Drive and operate motorized equipment (e.g., conveyor belts).
• Read and interpret load sheets and checked baggage tags.
• Escort passengers and special-needs customers safely and courteously.
• Ensure compliance with SkyWest and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and policies.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a valid, unrestricted, state-issued driver’s license.
• Have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Obtain and maintain position-specific clearances including, but not limited to, FAA, TSA, Port Authority, and U.S. Customs clearances.
• Pass a pre-placement background check and drug screen.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
• This is not a Department of Transportation safety-sensitive position.

Physical and Other Requirements

• Lift heavy bags over 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
• Attend four days of Basic Station Training.
• Full-time position.

Pay

$14.50 per hour.

Schedule

Flexible schedule, including split shifts that may occur during early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
