Ramp Agent PM - QAS SLC

Part-time position with shifts from 5 or 6 PM to 9 PM; must work Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Monday. Must be able to obtain an Airport SIDA Badge and pass a pre-employment drug screen that includes THC.

About the role

As a Ramp Agent you will work as part of a team delivering safe and efficient aircraft services while providing the highest level of customer service, keeping passengers and aircraft moving safely and on time.

Responsibilities

• Properly and safely loads and unloads freight, including build-up and break-down of cargo pallets and freight containers following guidelines
• Holds equipment certifications and operates equipment safely
• Obtains proper security documents for all shipments
• Verifies upon receipt from customer shipment pieces, weight, dimensions, and airworthiness
• Verifies upon delivery to customer shipment pieces and airway bill numbers

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Maintain and treat all information as confidential
• Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and carry out instructions in English
• Must be able to verbally direct in English
• A valid driver’s license is required for this position

Work Environment

• Warehouse: physically strenuous, prolonged periods of standing with exposure to noise (may be excessive at times), safe but potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures and humidity, in and around heavy moving equipment
• Outdoor: prolonged periods of standing with exposure to prevalent weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes, and noise, in or around heavy equipment and moving vehicles

Physical Demands

• Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms
• Must be able to speak and hear efficiently
• Able to lift, push, pull up to 75 pounds at times
• Ability to climb ladders of up to 15 feet in height
• Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
