Ramp Agent (Customer Service Agent) - RDU

As a Ramp Agent, you will ensure our customers' baggage and cargo arrive safely and on time. This is an entry-level position with mentorship opportunities to help advance your career.
Work tasks are physical and include bending, lifting, standing, and walking. Tasks are repetitive, such as loading and stacking bags weighing up to 50-70 pounds, often in harsh weather conditions (heat, rain, snow). We practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Safely lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft.
- Ensure timely connections by guiding incoming and departing aircraft from gate positions.
- Safeguard cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather.
- Safely drive and operate ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors in congested areas.
- Operate baggage scanners and computers to ensure baggage is routed accurately to the customer's destination.
Requirements
- Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

- Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Be at least 18 years of age with authorization to work in the United States.
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Demonstrate proficiency in English.
- Pass a physical ability test (PAT).
- Wear required company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, protective headwear, and high-visibility safety apparel.
- Ability to meet airport-specific requirements such as obtaining a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.
Schedule
Scheduling is based on operational needs, with shifts ranging from early morning to overnight. Each station operates differently based on its flight schedule. You will work between 20 and 40 hours per week based on seniority.
