About the role
This role involves unloading and loading luggage, freight, and cargo on and off commercial aircraft, as well as safely and efficiently cleaning aircraft cabins. Key responsibilities include:
- Comfortably and continuously lift/move 70 lbs. of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport it between aircraft, airport terminals, and air cargo facilities.
- Frequent bending, stretching, pushing/pulling, stacking, and kneeling in small, confined locations.
- Operate motorized equipment and small specialized commercial vehicles.
- Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags.
- Conduct physical searches of empty interiors and accessible exteriors of the aircraft to detect prohibited articles and unlawful interferences that may jeopardize the security of the aircraft.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess and maintain a valid US driver's license.
- Must have a high school diploma, GED, or six months prior ramp agent work experience.
- Must be comfortable lifting 70 lbs. repetitively.
- Must pass an FBI background check and obtain a US Customs Seal.

- Physical strength and endurance for heavy lifting and repetitive tasks.
- Attention to detail for reading and interpreting various documents and instructions.
- Ability to operate motorized equipment and small specialized commercial vehicles.
- Knowledge of aircraft weight and balance loading instructions.
- Ability to conduct physical searches of aircraft interiors and exteriors.
