Ramp Agent/Cabin Cleaner (MCO)

About the role

Quantem Aviation Services is seeking a part-time Ramp Agent/Cabin Cleaner to join their team. The position is available in Orlando, FL, and requires US citizenship or permanent residency for a CBP seal.

Shift

Varying shifts are available due to the airline schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Properly and safely loads and unloads freight, including building up and breaking down cargo pallets and freight containers according to guidelines.
• Holds equipment certifications and operates equipment safely.
• Obtains proper security documents for all shipments.
• Verifies upon receipt from customers that shipment pieces, weight, dimensions, and airworthiness are correct.
• Verifies upon delivery to customers that shipment pieces and airway bill numbers are accurate.
• Aircraft cabin cleaning duties, including vacuuming and cleaning by hand of all seats, seat back pockets, floors, pantries, galleys, toilets, telephones, windows, flight deck (if specified), and passenger and crew compartments.
• Removes trash, wipes tables, and cleans waste from aircraft.
• Correctly handles international garbage as required by the company, carrier, and the Department of Agriculture.

Required Skills and Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Maintain and treat all information as confidential.
• Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives.
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and carry out instructions in English.
• Must be able to verbally direct in English.
• This position requires obtaining a US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seal.
• A valid driver's license is required for this position.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Must be able to speak and hear efficiently.
• Able to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds at times.
• Able to climb ladders up to 15 feet in height.
• Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.

Work Environment

• Warehouse - physically strenuous, prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to noise (may be excessive at times), safe but potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures and humidity, in and around heavy moving equipment.
• Outdoor - prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to prevalent weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes, and noise, in or around heavy equipment and moving vehicles.
