About the role

As a Store Operations Supervisor at Ralph Lauren, your role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless flow of merchandise from delivery to display. You will oversee receiving and unpacking shipments, inspecting items for damage, verifying pricing, tagging items, and strategically placing merchandise on the sales floor or in the stock room according to Ralph Lauren's standards. You will maintain stock room organization, support sales floor associates, and ensure customers enjoy a premium shopping experience with products displayed at their best.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Experience & Service
    • Create memorable customer experiences through exceptional service while supporting front and back of house operations.
    • Engage in sales as business needs dictate, though primarily non-selling.
    • Provide ideas to implement innovative solutions enhancing customer experience and operational efficiencies.
    • Resolve customer concerns while maintaining service excellence.
    • Balance operational tasks while prioritizing customer experience.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead operational training for brand ambassadors to uphold company standards and values.
    • Provide recommendations to develop and implement performance processes improving team productivity and engagement.
    • Offer constructive feedback and ongoing coaching to improve team performance.
    • Support talent talks with the leadership team and provide learning opportunities through targeted development activities.
    • Foster a professional environment embodying Ralph Lauren's Cultural Focus Areas (CFAs) and Success Drivers, promoting belonging.
    • Support team training and company initiatives to drive business results.
    • Assist with talent acquisition through networking and candidate sourcing.
    • Demonstrate and champion Ralph Lauren's CFAs and Success Drivers through leadership and daily interactions.
  • Operations Management
    • Coordinate processes between Back of House and Sales Floor to ensure operational efficiency.
    • Process incoming inventory within UPH targets, execute price updates, and maintain stockroom organization, including EAS device application.
    • Execute replenishment activities including ISOS report management and floor restocking while meeting productivity benchmarks.
    • Lead stockroom reorganization and reset initiatives.
    • Oversee projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, such as process optimization and technology integration.
    • Manage reticketing process, RFID tag creation/association, and merchandise return to sales floor.
    • Conduct stock checks to support sales team and customer satisfaction.
  • Visual Merchandising & Brand Standards
    • Collaborate with Merchandise Manager to plan and execute seasonal visual changes, ensuring alignment with brand standards and promotional activities.
    • Contribute to visual merchandising needs on the sales floor.
    • Maintain proper merchandising, signage, and visual standards.
  • Compliance & Policy Management
    • Support leaders on risk management policies to mitigate potential operational risks and ensure compliance with all regulations including health and safety.
    • Enforce company policies and ensure compliance with guidelines.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of retail supervisory experience preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of retail operations, policies, and best practices.
  • Proficient with technology; POS systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and store personnel.
  • Ability to maneuver around the sales floor, stock/dressing room, cashwrap, and office; work around/with chemicals, lift/climb up to 30 lbs., and climb moderately.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including days, evenings, and weekends.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, management, and co-workers.
