About the Role
The E-Commerce Performance Management & Analytics Lead, North America is a commercially minded leader responsible for driving digital demand, customer acquisition, retention, and profitable growth across Ralph Lauren’s North America e-commerce business. This role sits at the intersection of e-commerce, performance media, CRM, customer insights and experience (CIX), analytics, merchandising, site experience, finance, and agency partners. The ideal candidate will bring a customer-first mindset, luxury retail sensibility, performance marketing expertise, and analytical discipline to connect brand moments, product priorities, customer insights, and commercial objectives into an integrated North America marketing operating model.
This role will also support efforts to adapt programs to the evolving digital ecosystem, focusing on AI visibility, taxonomy, advanced measurement, and analytics capabilities.
Responsibilities
- North America E-Commerce Performance Strategy & Growth Planning
- Develop and lead integrated North America e-commerce marketing strategies to drive qualified traffic, conversion, customer acquisition, retention, and profitable growth across digital commerce channels.
- Translate brand priorities, seasonal campaigns, product launches, promotional strategies, and customer insights into clear marketing plans across paid, owned, CRM, and partner channels.
- Partner with Digital Commerce, Merchandising, Planning, CRM, CIX, Site Experience, Creative, Finance, and agency teams to align marketing activities with business priorities, inventory opportunities, and customer growth objectives.
- Identify growth opportunities across customer segments, brands, categories, channels, and lifecycle stages, balancing near-term performance with long-term customer value and brand equity.
- Lead projects to strengthen digital marketing foundations, including taxonomy, tag implementation, measurement frameworks, and attribution capabilities.
- Drive efforts related to AI visibility and adapt to changes in the search and commerce ecosystem.
- Performance Management, Forecasting & Optimization
- Own North America e-commerce performance management routines, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews, and executive-ready narratives for leadership.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as traffic, conversion, demand, revenue, AOV, customer acquisition, retention, lifetime value, ROAS, media efficiency, and margin-aware growth.
- Partner with Finance, Analytics, Digital Commerce, CIX, and channel teams to build forecasts, track performance, identify risks, and recommend optimizations.
- Lead test-and-learn agendas across media, CRM, audience strategy, site experience, creative, offers, and customer journeys to improve performance.
- Connect marketing results to broader business outcomes, ensuring reporting explains customer behavior, commercial impact, and recommended actions.
- Performance Media, CRM, CIX & Audience Strategy
- Partner with performance media leads and agency teams to guide full-funnel strategies across search, shopping, paid social, affiliate, display, video, and emerging discovery environments.
- Work closely with CIX and CRM teams to activate first-party data, segmentation, predictive models, audience development, and personalization opportunities.
- Ensure media, CRM, and audience plans align with customer value, incrementality, measurement discipline, and the broader North America Marketing agenda.
- Champion data quality, tagging, taxonomy, product feed health, measurement readiness, and audience governance.
- Analytics, Customer Insights & Executive Storytelling
- Translate complex performance, customer, commerce, and marketing data into clear insights, strategic recommendations, and decision-ready narratives for leadership.
- Partner with CIX, Analytics, and agency teams to improve dashboards, reporting automation, attribution, incrementality testing, and performance measurement frameworks.
- Develop a consistent view of e-commerce performance drivers, including customer demand, channel mix, creative effectiveness, and onsite behavior.
- Prepare concise executive summaries and performance readouts that identify what happened, why it happened, and recommended next steps.
- Cross-Functional Leadership & North America Marketing Operating Model
- Act as a central connector across North America Marketing, Digital Commerce, Performance Media, CRM, CIX, Analytics, Merchandising, Planning, Site Experience, Creative, Finance, Technology, and agency partners.
- Establish clear operating rhythms, decision forums, action trackers, and accountability models to improve speed and prioritization.
- Lead cross-functional planning meetings, performance reviews, and post-campaign retrospectives to turn insights into action.
- Influence stakeholders by balancing strategic perspective, luxury brand stewardship, commercial urgency, and operational practicality.
- Manage and develop direct reports or matrixed team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage performance marketing and affiliate agency relationships.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI capabilities to improve business performance and team productivity.
Requirements
- 8-10+ years of experience in e-commerce marketing, performance marketing, analytics, or digital commerce within retail, fashion, or luxury organizations.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce and retail business drivers, including traffic, conversion, AOV, demand, revenue, margin, customer acquisition, retention, lifetime value, and promotional effectiveness.
- Hands-on experience across performance media channels, including paid search, shopping, paid social, SEO, affiliate, display, video, retargeting, and AI-driven discovery environments.
- Experience partnering with CRM, lifecycle marketing, customer analytics, and CIX teams to activate first-party data, segmentation, personalization, and predictive models.
- Proven ability to interpret performance data, synthesize insights, and communicate recommendations to senior leadership in a clear, concise, and commercially grounded manner.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including forecasting, budget management, ROI analysis, and performance planning.
- Experience managing agencies, vendors, cross-functional workstreams, executive stakeholders, and matrixed teams.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, project management, and executive presentation skills.
- People leadership experience, including coaching, prioritization, feedback, and talent development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Snowflake, or similar analytics and visualization platforms.
- Familiarity with customer data platforms, ESPs, marketing automation platforms, product feeds, tagging, taxonomy, clean rooms, and privacy-safe measurement solutions.
- Experience with incrementality testing, attribution, marketing mix modeling, A/B testing, and experimentation frameworks.
- Exposure to AI-enabled marketing, generative search, generative engine optimization, personalization, content intelligence, and emerging digital discovery environments.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed, multi-brand, or omnichannel retail organization where regional priorities connect with enterprise strategies.
