About the role
Responsible for ensuring public safety along railroad tracks. Conducts inspections, signals trains, and responds to emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of railroad crossings and track areas
- Signal approaching trains to pedestrians and motorists
- Respond to and manage emergency situations
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Pass a background check
- Must be able to work nights and weekends
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform tasks in various weather conditions
Skills
- Knowledge of railroad safety protocols
- Ability to operate signaling equipment
- First aid and CPR certification
