About the role
Responsible for ensuring the safety of railroad operations by flagging trains at designated crossings.
Responsibilities
- Flag approaching trains at designated crossings
- Communicate with train crews using hand signals and verbal commands
- Ensure all crossing equipment is functioning properly
- Monitor weather conditions and road conditions
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass a background check
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of railroad safety regulations
- Physical stamina and agility
