About the role
The Railcar Repair Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing railcars to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Responsibilities
- Maintain railcars according to manufacturer specifications and company standards
- Perform routine inspections and repairs on railcars
- Work with other maintenance staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- At least 2 years of related experience in railcar maintenance
- Knowledge of railcar systems and operations
Qualifications
- Proficient in using hand tools and power equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Skills
- Proficiency in railcar repair techniques
- Good mechanical aptitude
