About the role

The role involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining railcars to ensure they are safe and operational. This includes troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Inspect railcars for damage and perform necessary repairs
• Perform preventive maintenance to extend the lifespan of railcars
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• At least 2 years of related experience in railcar repair or maintenance
• Knowledge of railcar systems and components
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good physical fitness to perform manual labor
