Railcar Prepper

About the role

The Railcar Prepper position involves inspecting and preparing railcars for shipment. This includes identifying and addressing any issues that may affect the safety and efficiency of the railcars.

Responsibilities

• Inspect railcars for damage, wear, and compliance with safety standards.
• Prepare railcars for shipment by performing necessary maintenance tasks.
• Document findings and actions taken during inspections.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure railcars are ready for transport.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in railcar inspection or related field.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of railcar safety regulations and standards.
• Experience with railcar maintenance tools and equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Pay

• $18.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
