Railcar Prepper

About the role

Responsible for maintaining and preparing railcars for transportation. Duties include inspecting, cleaning, and repairing railcars to ensure they are safe and in good condition.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and prepare railcars for transportation
• Inspect railcars for safety and condition
• Clean railcars to remove debris and contaminants
• Repair railcars as needed to ensure they are in proper working order
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Knowledge of railcar maintenance and repair

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of related experience in railcar maintenance or similar field
• Experience with railcar inspection and repair tools
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Skills

• Proficient in using railcar maintenance equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and customer service skills
