About the role
The Railcar Prep/Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all railcars are in safe operating condition before they are dispatched for service.
Responsibilities
- Inspect railcars for damage, leaks, and other issues
- Perform routine maintenance checks
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Communicate findings to supervisors and make necessary repairs
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in railcar maintenance or inspection preferred
Qualifications
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Knowledge of railcar safety standards and regulations
Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Basic computer literacy
