Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight and quality review of track and rail system engineering deliverables across all project phases, and apply a strong understanding of technical standards, guidelines, and project-specific criteria.
- Cookordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integration, resolve design conflicts, and ensure alignment between disciplines.
- Engage with clients, stakeholders, and contractors to clarify requirements, address technical issues, and maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Deliver technical support in client-facing and project environments and an ability to work collaboratively within project teams.
- Support design development and production of high-quality technical documentation including reports and memos and perform and support QA/QC processes for trackwork and system deliverables.
- Engage with and contribute to professional industry organizations and actively participate in and support Mott MacDonald’s Rail Practice initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 7+ years demonstrable experience in rail and transit projects, and a working knowledge of industry design standards and best practices.
- Demonstratable experience in trackwork design, and ideally rail systems engineering, with experience in coordinating rail and systems design and engineering interfaces.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related transportation field from an accredited university.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license

- Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
- The expected salary for this position is $111,000 - $136,000.
