Rail Construction Foreman

Rail Crew Foreman/Leadman Lead rail construction and maintenance activities on heavy civil projects, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality work. Supervise and train crew members, coordinate equipment and materials, and maintain productivity by reading plans, directing track installation, overseeing grading and ballast placement, and inspecting finished work. Key Duties Enforce and model safety procedures and safe work practicesRead and interpret project plans and specificationsOversee rail track laying, grading, and ballast placementInspect work for quality and compliance; address deficienciesCoordinate with project managers, inspectors, and other stakeholdersPrepare daily reports and document field activitiesTroubleshoot field issues and guide crews to effective solutionsMentor and develop crew members to strengthen team performance Qualifications & Skills Proven experience in rail construction and/or maintenanceStrong leadership, communication, and on-site supervision skillsWorking knowledge of track installation, grading, and ballast processesAbility to read plans and ensure work meets engineering specificationsCommitment to safety leadership and quality-focused execution
