Construction Foreman

American Fence Company, Inc., founded in 1948, is the largest installer of rental and permanent fencing, focused on future growth. We value our employees, which has resulted in an average tenure of 9 years. We are seeking a Rental Fence Installation Foreman for a long-term career opportunity in Orange County, California.

Responsibilities

• Prepare site areas for fence installation.
• Locate and follow underground utility markings for safety.
• Align and verify vertical alignment of posts.
• Install posts in ground, asphalt, or concrete using tools like jackhammers or core drills.
• Attach fence rail supports and install privacy panels as specified.
• Install and stabilize rental fence panels.
• Field repair temporary fence panels and broken post braces.
• Transport panels and materials to and from sites.
• Communicate with customers regarding site specifications.
• Ensure site specifications are met by crew and subcontractors.
• Remove and inspect rental fence panels for damage.
• Collect customer signatures for work orders and damage receipts.
• Operate forklifts for loading/unloading trucks and moving materials.
• Drive company trucks to sites, following DOT regulations.
• Complete administrative tasks, including time sheets and paperwork.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, power tools, and machinery.
• Follow company and government safety/health regulations.

Requirements

• 1+ years of heavy construction experience.
• 1+ years of experience driving large commercial vehicles (non-CDL).
• 1+ years of supervisory experience.
• Prior fencing experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (no DUI/DWI).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Skills

• Attention to detail.
• Proficiency with air/hand/power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Pay

$26.00-$33.00 per hour, depending on experience. Eligible for Prevailing Wage jobs, which can exceed $50/hour.
