Radiology Technologist- Tupelo Elite Medical
Responsibilities
- Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods as requested by a licensed physician.
- Selects and computes settings for each patient’s procedure/treatment.
- Develops an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
- Implements the procedure/treatment plan using established hospital protocols/guidelines.
- Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure patient care consistency with established standards.
- Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement.
- Completes assigned goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Specifications
Experience: Minimum Required - Completion of a Radiology Technology Program.
Education: Minimum Required - Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT.
Preferred/Desired - Associates degree in related field.
Training: Preferred/Desired - Minimum Required Special Skills - Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principles/theory.
Special Skills: Minimum Required - Utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
Preferred/Desired - Demonstrates ability to receive and follow written and oral instructions; ability to plan and organize work.
Licensure: Minimum Required - ARRT(R); BLS Certification within 14 days of hire.
New Graduate: Minimum Required - ARRT(R); BLS Certification within 120 days of hire.
State License: Required.
