Responsibilities

  • Use the latest X-Ray equipment to obtain images utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Perform accurate and appropriate techniques to facilitate a streamlined process, all while ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed.
  • Work days from 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. + on-call requirements.
  • Perform ED/surgical procedures (trauma cases, fluoroscopic exams to include vascular, general medicine, ortho, cardiac, GI, GU, neuro, pediatrics, and general procedures).
  • Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
  • Perform procedures in a sterile environment and maintain patient safety at all times.
  • Provide verbal and written instructions to patients and families on procedures as needed.
  • Aid in scheduling patients. Monitor and determine priority of patients.
  • Ensure patients' safety and comfort during and after the exam.
  • Demonstrate the care and operation of Radiography equipment according to technical specifications and applications.
  • Assist Radiologists, physicians and surgeons with procedures.
  • Knowledgeable in acquiring, archiving, transmitting, and printing images via PACS.
  • When applicable, knowledge in after-hours transmission of images and appropriate paperwork.
  • Immediately report any malfunctions to the help desk and PACS Administrator.
  • Knowledgeable in billing via RIS.
  • Maintain documentation requirements to ensure that all technical data is entered timely and accurately.
  • Notify management and take proper action to address equipment malfunctions.
  • Provide instruction/mentoring to new hires and Radiology students.
  • Continually strive to learn new technical information and skills through attendance of periodic in-service programs and participation in professional affiliation sessions.
  • May be required to rotate through all diagnostic imaging modalities and locations.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing
  • Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes.

Preferred qualifications

  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist
  • Physical Requirements: Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to 5,000*

Pay

Pay Range Minimum hourly: $29.00 Maximum hourly: $44.50
