About the Role

Responsible for the imaging of patients undergoing surgical procedures, working directly with the surgical team and/or physicians. This role includes the safe manipulation of radiographic equipment, positioning of patients, use of radiation protection devices, selection of technical factors necessary to produce optimum quality radiographs, tracking of patient studies, and PAS acquisition of the study performed. May also perform other delegated tasks related to the proper function of the Diagnostic Radiology department.

Schedule

  • Scheduled weekly hours: 40
  • Work shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM (four 10-hour shifts)

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited radiological technology program
  • Current A.R.R.T. license and LSRT license
  • 2 years of experience in an outpatient surgical facility or inpatient hospital
  • Current BLS certification through an International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provider (e.g., Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, American Red Cross), including a manikin skills check-off
  • Able to work flexible hours
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with patients of all types and ages
  • Strong guest relations skills
