About the role
A Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing technical support to the Pediatric Imaging Diagnostic Division through the performance of radiological examinations and appropriate patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to the Pediatric Imaging Diagnostic Division through the performance of radiological examinations and appropriate patient care.
- Operate all Radiological Equipment – fixed and mobile.
- Operate CR and DR equipment.
- Use immobilization devices.
- Use and process cassettes.
- Correctly use right and left lead Mitchell markers.
- Use and process patient related clerical and historical material.
Requirements
- Registered Radiology Technologist.
- Associates Degree in Radiology Technology.
- At Children’s South we perform CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy and X-ray exams.
- We also provide sedation services for our CT and MRI patients.

Qualifications
- Must be proficient with all Radiological Equipment – fixed and mobile.
- Must know how to operate CR and DR equipment.
- Must know how to use Immobilization devises.
- Must know how to use and process cassettes.
- Must be able to correctly use right and left lead Mitchell markers.
- Must be proficient in using patient related clerical and historical material.
