About the role

A Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing technical support to the Pediatric Imaging Diagnostic Division through the performance of radiological examinations and appropriate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the Pediatric Imaging Diagnostic Division through the performance of radiological examinations and appropriate patient care.
• Operate all Radiological Equipment – fixed and mobile.
• Operate CR and DR equipment.
• Use immobilization devices.
• Use and process cassettes.
• Correctly use right and left lead Mitchell markers.
• Use and process patient related clerical and historical material.

Requirements

• Registered Radiology Technologist.
• Associates Degree in Radiology Technology.
• At Children’s South we perform CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy and X-ray exams.
• We also provide sedation services for our CT and MRI patients.
• We have a beautifully designed under the water theme in all areas.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient with all Radiological Equipment – fixed and mobile.
• Must know how to operate CR and DR equipment.
• Must know how to use Immobilization devises.
• Must know how to use and process cassettes.
• Must be able to correctly use right and left lead Mitchell markers.
• Must be proficient in using patient related clerical and historical material.
