Radiology Technologist - PRN

Role Overview This position is for a Radiology Technologist responsible for performing clinical and administrative duties within a healthcare setting, under physician supervision. Key responsibilities include patient intake, venipuncture, laboratory testing, administering medications, and capturing diagnostic X-ray images. The technologist ensures proper documentation, maintains equipment safety, and supports patient flow and care quality. They must be adaptable to float across multiple sites, comply with safety and compliance standards, and utilize electronic health records effectively. Additional duties involve performing tests like EKGs, spirometry, vision, and hearing assessments, and assisting with patient discharge and education. They support team members, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and uphold respectful communication with patients and staff. Qualifications & Skills Associate degree and completion of an approved Radiologic Technologist programExternship experience in a medical or outpatient settingPreferred: 2 years of medical office experienceCertification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)State licensure in Maryland, Virginia, or DCBasic Life Support (BLS) certification Key Skills: patient care, technical proficiency in radiography, medication administration, communication, teamwork, compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and adaptability across multiple healthcare sites.
