Radiology Technologist - PRN

About the Role

We are seeking a certified Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures using ionizing radiation, under the supervision of licensed practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient histories
• Position and immobilize patients for imaging procedures
• Apply radiation safety principles
• Operate imaging equipment
• Verify patient consent
• Assist with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures
• Administer contrast agents
• Document orders and exposures
• Evaluate image quality
• Maintain professional communication with staff and patients

Requirements

• ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology (required)
• Associate’s degree from an ARRT-accredited institution (preferred)
• State licensure (preferred)
• Basic Life Support (preferred at hire, required prior to patient care)

Skills and Experience

• 1 year in radiation safety and patient care (preferred)
• Proficiency with Radiology Information System and EHR systems (preferred)
• Manual dexterity, critical thinking, and attention to detail
• Effective communication and conflict resolution skills

Working Conditions

May involve exposure to high noise, bright lights, hazardous substances, and human fluids. The role requires physical demands such as maneuvering patients, the ability to work independently, handle interruptions, and perform shift work as needed.
