About the role
This position involves performing imaging procedures such as CT and X-Rays independently, providing technical assistance, and supporting patient care.
Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot imaging equipment including X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS systems.
- Perform imaging exams adhering to policies, procedures, and regulations, notifying physicians of results.
- Assist with clinical procedures under physician or nurse supervision.
- Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
- Collect laboratory samples, perform testing in compliance with policies and regulatory standards like COLA and CLIA.
- Ensure availability of reagents and consumables, conduct routine equipment maintenance, and perform quality control activities.
- Participate in proficiency testing, retain analytic records for at least two years, and perform quality assessments.
- Perform emergency room duties as needed, and travel to various facility locations.
- Attend staff meetings and perform additional assigned duties.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; AMA-accredited radiology technology education.
- Certification as a radiologic technologist and ARRT registration in radiography; CT registration preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
- 2+ years radiologic/imaging experience; CT and ER experience preferred.
- Proficiency with imaging hardware, software, and PACS; fluent in English.
