About Us

Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth is a remarkable joint venture between Tenet Healthcare, USPI, and the esteemed Baylor Scott & White network. Located at 1800 Park Place Avenue in Fort Worth, Texas, we have been serving Fort Worth residents and neighboring communities since 2014.

Our 30-bed acute care surgical hospital offers a wide spectrum of medical services, including an Emergency Department, a 30-bed inpatient unit, a 4-bed intensive care unit, and cutting-edge diagnostic imaging facilities. We are equipped with 14 state-of-the-art operating rooms featuring da Vinci, ExcelsiusGPS, and Mako Surgical Systems.

Our specializations span ENT, Bariatric, Pulmonary, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Spine, and Craniotomy, reflecting a higher intensity of surgical care than typical orthopedic surgery hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality diagnostic procedures accurately and in a timely manner.
• Under minimal supervision, performs basic to complex Operating Room diagnostic and interventional radiographic procedures as requested by a licensed physician.
• Provides technical support for interventional radiographic examinations.
• Completes established competencies for the position.
• Operates imaging equipment, C-Arms, O-Arms, prepares examination rooms, and maintains equipment, supplies, and medications.
• Produces high-quality diagnostic radiographs in patient care areas including OR, Urography, open reductions, myelography, arthrography, and placements.
• Assists practitioners with fluoroscopy, arthrography, and OR procedures.
• Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed.
• Performs all Quality Control checks as prescribed and maintains accurate QC logs and service records.
• Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures.
• Investigates promptly and follows up on unusual incidents, communicating with Manager/Director.
• Takes department call as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Graduate of a 2-year accredited school of Radiology Technology.
• Current & Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT) Certificate.
• Current & Active Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) General License.
• Current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience specific to surgical/diagnostic radiological exams.
• Experience using C-Arms in an Operating Room.
• Must possess independent decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
• Ability to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way.
• Ability to utilize the Electronic Health Record for patient documentation.

Pay

$8,000 Sign on Bonus Available.
