About the role

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Radiology Technologist for a full-time night shift opportunity. You will take radiographs (x-rays) of patients to assist physicians in diagnoses and treatment, performing procedures accurately and in a careful, compassionate, and respectful manner. Responsibilities

  • Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment, including surgical, portable, trauma, general, and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures
  • Obtain high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images, ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation, utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated
  • Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate the patient and assist in the administration of contrast media when indicated
  • Prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty and safety while utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to the exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues, including the radiologist
  • Check the operation of equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases, and keep the room stocked with linens and necessary supplies
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs

Requirements

  • 2-year/Associate degree or hospital-based Radiologic Technology program
  • Valid ARRT certification
  • Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
