About the role

Radiologic Technologists at Meritus Health play a crucial role in the diagnostic imaging process, supporting both inpatient and outpatient care settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiology procedures for inpatient populations across all age groups
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain radiographic and therapeutic imaging equipment
• Prepare exam rooms and equipment, review clinical requisitions, and verify imaging orders
• Assemble and assess relevant patient data, including clinical history, to support accurate imaging
• Determine appropriate machine parameters and imaging protocols for optimal diagnostic results
• Evaluate radiographic images for positioning, technique, and diagnostic clarity
• Exercise discretion and sound judgment during procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Adapt techniques as needed to improve departmental performance and stay current with best practices
• Auxiliary duties such as assisting with outpatient medical assisting tasks (e.g., vitals, medical history documentation)

Requirements

• Education: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required
• No prior experience required; clinical training through accredited program is sufficient
• Licensure/Certification: ARRT certification in Radiography required, State of Maryland licensure as a Radiographer required, Current BLS (CPR) certification required

Pay

• Inpatient Compensation Range: $28.20-$41.97
• Outpatient Compensation Range: $25.91-$38.89
• Cardiac Cath IR Compensation Range: $32.64-$48.99
• Compensation based on years of experience and clinical setting

• Full-time, part-time, and PRN roles available
• Day, evening, and weekend shifts offered across locations
