Radiology Technologist II

About the role

Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures on designated body parts, including plain films, fluoroscopy, portables, and OR exams. Limited CT procedures may be performed in emergent cases.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patients and answer their questions
• Transport and position patients for imaging
• Follow radiation safety protocols and ensure patient safety
• Administer contrast media within scope of practice
• Monitor patient activity during procedures
• Submit high-quality diagnostic images
• Maintain imaging equipment and ensure department cleanliness
• Assist with limited CT scans as needed
• Perform other assigned duties to support departmental efficiency and patient care

Requirements

• Completion of a Radiology Technology program
• Current ARRT or BLS certification

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to safety protocols
• Physical ability for frequent standing, lifting, and movement

Preferred Qualifications

• ARRT-R or ARRT-BD certification
