About the role
We have an opportunity for a Part-Time Radiology Technologist at our Huntersville office location. The Radiology Technologist will provide diagnostic quality radiographs for physicians and/or physician assistants while protecting employees and patients from unnecessary radiation and adhering to appropriate protection standards.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates competency in positioning for all radiological procedures as prescribed by departmental policy.
- Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm acknowledgment of patients' understanding, and address any questions or concerns.
- Positions patients and selects exposure factors for various radiologic examinations while ensuring radiation protection and safety.
- Logs radiological procedures completed, processes charges, and handles related paperwork using computer equipment.
- Maintains cleanliness of examination rooms and stocks necessary medical and/or radiological supplies.
- Complies with all OrthoCarolina policies and procedures.
- Assists with the transportation of patients between examination modules and the Radiology department.
- Assists with patient flow in examination modules as directed by a supervisor.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and the American Medical Association.
- Minimum of one year of experience as an x-ray tech with an orthopedic background.
- Registered Radiology Tech by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or ARRT registry eligible.
- Current CPR certification recommended.
Skills
- Ability to operate various manufacturer types of Radiology suite equipment (e.g., Siemens, GE, Philips).
- Proficiency in using various manufacturer types of Digital Radiology (DR) and Computer Radiology (CR) reader systems.
- Skill in identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying a supervisor.
- Skill in positioning patients properly and performing quality diagnostic radiographs.
- Observes safety and security procedures.

Monday - Wednesday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (8-hour flexible shifts).
