Radiology Technologist Extender

Essential Job Functions

• Affords support to radiologic technologists by completing basic patient assessments, such as verifying patient orders, completing patient questionnaires, and patient preparation and instruction.
• Assists technologists with administrative tasks, including minimum registration of Computerized Health Information (CHL) and the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
• Maintains efficient communication and organization within the department by managing and directing incoming phone calls.
• Enhances patient preparedness and departmental efficiency by making call reminders for scheduled exams.
• Improves operational efficiency by cleaning and restocking procedure rooms to create a well-prepared environment for patient care.
• Welcomes and assists patients, their families, and visitors entering the radiology department.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Required: BLS (CPR) - American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
