Radiology Technologist Cross Train

Job Summary

Our Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging Department provides a broad range of services to aid in the screening, diagnosis, and treatment of medical conditions and emergent injuries. A few responsibilities of our Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) include operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body, performing x-ray therapy under the supervision of a Radiologist, serving patients in our emergency department, hospital, and outpatient settings, and maintaining expert technical and patient-care skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA-approved Radiology Technology training program with current certification by ARRT
• Maintain current registry by attending continuing education activities
• BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs
• Preferred 2 years recent acute care experience
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (ARRT-R)
• Radiography Certificate
