Radiology Technologist (Clinic)

Duties

• Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
• Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment.
• Affords responsibility for designated areas of procedures as required.
• Assumes responsibility for general Medical Assistant duties in conjunction with radiographic procedures and responsibilities.
• Maintains supplies.
• Provides direct patient care.
• Fills in and acts as the Customer Service Representative which may include scheduling and filing.
• Answers the phone appropriately, handles phone calls, and/or directs appropriately.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of general diagnostic radiography to include surgical, portable, and routine fluoroscopic studies.
• Appropriate oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Able to handle multiple tasks and exercise independent judgment as needed.
• Able to handle fast-paced, stressful environment while juggling multiple priorities.

License/Certification

• Must have ARRT Registration and Certification.
• Must possess a current Oregon State Radiologic Technologist License.
• Current BLS required through the American Heart Association.

Education and / or Experience

• Must maintain continuing education requirements as specified by the State of Oregon and ARRT.
• Preferably experience in an acute care setting, and with direct patient care in a clinic setting.

Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance

• Must be in generally good health with the ability to use mobile radiographic equipment as needed for patient care.
• Must be able to transport patients as appropriate as well as assist in patient transfers and the lifting as needed.
• Position involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Work is fast-paced, and a changing environment.
• Must have knowledge of medical terminology and possess verbal and clerical skills.
• Works inside. Walking and standing much of the time while on duty. Occasional long shifts necessary.

Pay

SEIU Pay Range: $39.16 to $58.91 Dependent on Experience
$10,000 sign-on bonus for applicants who have zero seniority at CMH and who meet all other conditions for payment**
To receive sign-on bonus, applicant must sign an offer letter by December 31, 2026, and begin working within three weeks of that acceptance. Full details of payment conditions can be obtained from Human Resources.
