Radiology Technologist
Job Summary and Qualifications
The Radiologic Technologist at TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital is the primary liaison between patients, departmental physicians, and other members of the support team. They must remain sensitive to the physical and emotional needs of the patient through good communication, patient assessment, patient monitoring, and patient care skills.
- Demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiologic positioning and exposure techniques.
- Maintain knowledge about radiation protection and safety.
- Prepare for and assist the physician in the completion of intricate radiologic examinations.
- Prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with state, federal, and hospital regulations.
What You Will Do in This Role
- Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care for patient populations served in this department.
- Assess patients' and families' ability to learn and incorporate teaching.
- Deliver compassionate, holistic care while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients.
- Demonstrate knowledge of equipment and procedures for the radiological department.
Qualifications
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (ARRT-R).
- Radiography (RT)
- Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
- Graduation from an accredited education program in Radiologic Technology.
