Radiology Technologist

Responsibilities

  • Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Radiology Clinical Services or designee, perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Assume responsibility for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request.
  • Obtain pertinent information from patient's chart and document all data within the EHR.
  • Educate patient for exam.
  • Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies.
  • ID, prepare and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure.
  • Select technical factors/parameters/sequences to produce quality images.
  • Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality.
  • Apply the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self and others and aware of MR safety practices.
  • Assist physicians in performing procedures.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology and attainment of primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography within one year of eligibility.
  • Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island is required based on location assignment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
  • Radiology Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
  • Must have RI License and MA license.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
  • Must have current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Must have current licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island.
  • Must have completed an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Must have obtained primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography within one year of eligibility.

Skills

  • Proficient in using radiological equipment and technology.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety protocols.

Pay

Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Pay Range USD $37.11 - USD $58.33 /Hr.
